In this process, we aim to help our students progress from spiritual death to life and from spiritual infancy to maturity (Acts 26;18; Col1:28; Eph 4:12-15).

Assistant Director of Student Ministries

Seeking Candidates who are interested in joining a Student Ministry which aspires to beDiscipleship Oriented, Scripture Saturated, and Christ-Centered.

The Student ministry of Lake Bible Church exists to help the youth of Lake Bible apprehend, embrace, and apply the ways of Christ and the teaching of scripture. In this process, we aim to help our students progress from spiritual death to life and from spiritual infancy to maturity (Acts 26;18; Col1:28; Eph 4:12-15).

This position reports to the Director of Career, College, and Student Ministries. It will also work closely and cooperatively with the Director of Career, College and Student ministries. The position is currently 25 hours a week but could increase and expand in the future.

The following description is an approximation of the duties which will be required of the person filling this role. There is a possibility that the role will evolve and change depending the gifts of the candidate and the needs of the ministry.

Pastoral Responsibilities:

Periodically oversee and lead youth gatherings

Participate in the teaching rotation. Regularly Preach and Teach in a variety of contexts(Large/small groups, etc.)

Regularly give yourself to prayer for the ministry and students.

Personally invest in students through meeting and mentoring them.

Assist in the development, coaching, and training of staff and student leaders

Engage in outreach to students.

Fulfill other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

Administrative Responsibilities:

Assist in the Recruiting, Building, Maintaining, and Leading of Volunteer Teams.

Oversee the Execution of Ministry related errands

Oversee the basic and care maintenance of ministry facility and equipment.

Assist in the planning of retreats, outings, and other ministry related events.

Assist in parent correspondence and development of ministry related documents

Qualifications and Attributes

A. Must have a character in keeping with 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9. Must be ableto serve as an example of Christian maturity.

B. While not looking for a particular personality type. It is imperative that we havesomeone who loves students, enjoys teaching, mentoring, discipleship and isinterested and willing to spend a significant amount of time connecting withstudents.

C. Able to capably teach the Bible and theology to students. Needs to possess a passionfor preparing students to live as faithful Christians in a non-Christian world.

D. Needs to possess a level of Theological and Philosophical alignment with LBC and theDirector of Student Ministries.

E. Most love the church

F. Must be committed to the ongoing growth and development of ministerial skills.

G. Needs to have a strong work ethic and be a self-starter
