Provide leadership that creates a culture to develop relationships both with our staff and our guests that leads to a greater understanding of the gospel and seeks to display a level of excellence that anticipates, meets, and exceeds our guests' needs. The Kitchen Manager will provide direct support, assistance to, and collaboration with the Food and Beverage Manager in accomplishing the ministry's hospitality, leadership, and serving strategy.
This position will include, but not be limited to, the following:
• Meal Preparation — plan food preparation, proofing, & thermalization. • Maintaining Cleanliness — maintaining cleanliness/organization of entire dining hall (front and back of house).• Staff Management — delegate duties to kitchen intern and summer staff, as needed. Lead subordinates with a servants heart.• Quality and Presentation — encourage and display quality meals, nice presentation of food, menus, and catering.• Discipleship Mindset— strong desire to work with college students and shepherd them during the summer/retreat season. Create an environment where summer staff are encouraged and desire to serve others by working in the kitchen.• Desire to Teach & Instruct — Have a heart to teach and instruct with a proper food safety/kitchen mindset.
