Overview

TITLE: Principal – High School/Middle School

DEPARTMENT: Cross Trainers Academy

SUMMARY & PURPOSE:

CTA Principal partners with CTA Administrator to provide strong leadership for all school programs. The Principal – High School/Middle School is specifically responsible for faculty, staff and students in grades 6 – 12 in CTA. Responsibilities include managing and supervising staff; monitoring classroom progress; measuring achievement; promoting academic excellence; mentoring teachers; promoting and protecting MRM and school culture; overseeing and maintaining discipline; providing strong spiritual leadership for the entire school community.

WORKINGRELATIONSHIPS:Primary Relationship: Answers directly to the CTA Administrator

Other Essential Relationships:With CTA Administrator and CTA Elementary Principal, maintains accountability to MRM VP of Programs for all school programming

Supervises all HS/Middle School staffCultivate relationships with CTA students and families

Cooperates with other North Campus program leaders (eg Equip Director, CEC Director) to promote and effect ministry on and around the North CampusSupports other MRM staff in promoting the Mission of MRM DUTIES& RESPONSBILITIES

Design and implement a comprehensive development plan and appropriate marketing strategies and tactics to acquire resources to support all MRM programs.

Specific areas ofresponsibilities include (but are not limited to):Provide Overall Leadership:Provide daily positive encouragement to school communityBe a daily presence throughout the school to maintain intimate knowledge of all HS/Middle Schoolactivities

Manage Faculty & Staff:Provide day-to-day organization, management and supervision of all HS/Middle School faculty, staffand volunteersEnsure that staff is properly resourced to effectively educate studentsProvide regular assessment of faculty to create a culture of excellenceMentor teachers

Maintain Academic Excellent:Regularly monitor academic progressContinually work to supplement and improve school resources, curricula, methods, etc. in an effortto continually improve outcomesClosely monitor tests and all other measure to ensure desired outcomes are achievedRegularly assess, improve and add measurement tools to aid in monitoring outcomesDemand excellence from all faculty and staff

Ensure Student Progress and Success:Regularly assess individual students with special attention to High School students to ensure that students will achieve desired goals including graduation Identify and acquire varied capabilities to serve all students regardless of their inherent academicgiftedness

Maintain Discipline:Demand discipline throughout HS/Middle School

Clearly and regularly communicate behavior expectations for the school community

Attend to disciplinary issues with firmness, consistency and wisdom

Lead staff in creating a culture with high standards of conduct

Promote and Protect Culture:Consciously and deliberately promote a Christ-centered culture

Require staff to maintain fidelity to MRM doctrinal, ethical and moral standards

Insure that curricula and teaching is consistent with the Gospel of ChristEnthusiastically promote authentic Christian faith and a vibrant Christian walk with staff, students andfamilies

Partner in Broader Ministryof MRM:Partner with MRM leadership staff in supporting and promoting all MRM programs

Be well-informed of MRMprograms and seek ways to promote and encourage those programs

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

Undergraduate degree in education or applicable field; ability to be credentialed in the State of Wisconsin as a school administrator

7-10 years of experience in education with 2 years of experience in school administration SKILLS/CHARACTERISTICS:
