Union seeks a qualified individual to serve as a Ministry Director at PrincetonUniversity. A Ministry Director is responsible for overseeing a team ofMinistry Fellows and Teaching Fellows who minister to Christian andnon-Christian students. The Ministry Director will also engage in directministry with students and therefore needs all the skills and capabilities of aMinistry Fellow.
• Coach and oversee a team of ministry professionals to minister to students on a highly secular, academically rigorous campus. You will be supplied with a budget and a team of Ministry Fellows and will be expected to meet quarterly objectives •Serve as the primary local spokesperson for the ministry, partnering with local ministries and the University as appropriate • Exercise judgment in solving personnel and strategic problems to maximize the team's performance • Recruit and teach students the Scriptures in 12-week intensive small-group Bible Courses and in one-on-one settings • Recruit and coach teams of students to organize outreach, social and other events • Organize, implement and oversee additional important discipleship and outreach programs including conferences, evangelistic events, speaker series, and others as needed • Share the gospel with students individually, as well as in small and large group settings • Offer hospitality and friendship to students through meals, parties and other social gatherings • With your team at the end of each year, evaluate the effectiveness of ministry programs in order to suggest and implement modifications • Assume other responsibilities as needed for the sake of the ministry on campus, or for the sake of the overall Christian Union ministry.
Christian •Strong devotion to Jesus Christ, holiness, and a passion to make Him known •Knowledge of the basics of the faith, as well as the heart and capacity tostudy and teach complex theological issues • In agreement with our Statement ofFaith and Ethics Personal • Adaptable to the culture of a highly secularacademic environment • Passion for students to know and follow Jesus Christ,and ability to form friendships with students quickly and easily • Excellentcommunication and partnering abilities • Capable of delegating responsibilityto Christian Union Fellows and students and coaching them to performance standards• Quick learning ability to absorb the best practices of the ministry • Strongteaming skills in order to lead and work well with Teaching and MinistryFellows • Tenacity to persevere in a challenging ministry environmentProfessional • Seven years minimum professional experience • Three yearsminimum of successfully overseeing a team of employees, leading them to achieveindividual and group objectives • Ability to meet deadlines, and to workindependently to complete tasks • Theological training helpful but not required
