Director of Neighborhood Kids

Location: US, LIttleton, Co, CO Post Date: 2017-03-27

Job Category: Children's Ministry

Job Type: Part-time

Job Overview:

The Neighborhood Church

Director of Neighborhood Kids

The Neighborhood Church is a growing Evangelical Presbyterian Church meeting in Dakota Ridge High School in Littleton, Colorado. We average about 90 in worship and around 20 birthfifth grade children. We need a creative person who will provide ministry to children and their families who are involved at The Neighborhood Church but will also reach out to our community.

We're looking for a Director who values and/or demonstrates:

 Worship: Jesus' command for us to love God first is a command to worship. We believe this applies to children and we seek to engage them in transformational worship. Our kids are always welcome in worship and the first Sunday of each month is designed specifically to engage children throughout the entire service.

 Relationships: We believe that relationships are sacred and we strive to live in authentic community. We envision a children's program where every child feels known and loved by Jesus and the adults of the church.

 Outreach: We believe we are called to revolutionary mission. We serve and love the families in our neighborhoods.

 Scripture: We believe God's word is, among other things, our guide to life.

 Organization: We need someone who can take care of details and develop a ministry that includes a team of volunteer teachers and leaders.

 Growth: Jesus is a transformational Savior and we desire to see our children grow into who God created them to be. We desire children's ministry to be geared toward the relational and spiritual needs of the kids in our community.

 Partnership: We believe in seeking to join God where he is already at work. This means partnering with parents first and helping them love their kids.

 Advocacy: Advocate for children with a whole life view of who God has made them so they can Belong, Believe and Become.

 Entrepreneurialism: Our current children's ministry is growing and we need a leader who can creatively, along with the pastors and select parents, implement a long-term vision for a fun, educationally sound, relational, safe, Christcentered ministry.
