Organizational Relationship: Reports to the Senior Pastor

We are a healthy church in the greater Seattle areawith a passion to see students following Jesus. There are 1.86 million peoplein our counties who do not know Jesus yet. We are praying that God will movepowerfully in our region. Are you a leader who can connect with students,teach, build teams, inspire, and model outreach? We are looking for someone whois authentic, humble, and ready to dive in to an exciting ministry. We wouldlike the next Student Ministry Pastor to be stable in Christ, passionate,focused, hard-working, strategic, and able to communicate a vision.


Background Qualifications:·

Ability to teach God's Word with excellence in a relevant and creativemanner. Minimum college educated with ministry training. M.Div or equivalent preferred. Can demonstrate ability and passion for evangelism, both personal and professional. Excellent communication skills, both interpersonal and large group. Can demonstrate ability and passion for evangelism, both personal and professional. Self-starter, good time and resource management skills, and ability to work independently. Experience and passion for recruiting, training, and coaching adult volunteers. Intuitive at navigating youth culture. Can relate to church family and general public in a manner that both honors Christ and appropriately represents pastors and elders. Values working as a team. Proven track record in ministering responsibly to young men and women.

Areas of Responsibility:

Live a lifestyle consistent with the biblical examples given in 1Timothy 3 and Titus 1. Be dedicated to prayer for students, staff, and community. Organize and program the Middle School and High School ministry around the vision and mission of the church. Teach both MS and HS classes/big groups and small group settings. Oversee the administrative elements of this ministry. Recruit, coach, and develop adult leaders Plan, promote, and execute winter and summer camps, retreats, activities, etc., in correlation with ministry audit and vision of the church.
