SUMMARY: Serving Black Mountain Baptist Church (BMBC) by (1) developing, promoting, coordinating and administering a comprehensive and expanding ministry for middle and high school and their parents, and (2) providing leadership to and supervision of volunteers. The right person for this role is someone who loves Jesus first, has a passion for and loves to reach and disciple students in Biblical truth, and prefers to work with a team.
WORK HOURS: 20+ per week

Spiritual maturity to support the growth of a vibrant Student Ministry (middle and high school).

Excellent organizational and relational skills with the desire and ability to develop volunteer leaders and teams.
Strong computer skills and the willingness to learn/utilize new software and technology.
Oversee all activities, programs, supplies, curriculum, budgets, and leadership associated with the Student Ministry.
Attend weekly Staff Meetings & quarterly Leadership Advisory Team meetings.
Give oversight to all aspects of the Student Ministry.Oversee all aspects of volunteer management including recruitment, training, schedules and support.
Ensure all volunteer security clearances are complete and up to date.
Maintain a safe, clean, inviting, well organized environment.Write and implement an annual ministry plan.
Continually evaluate events and programs.
Provide primary point leadership for the Student Ministry team throughout Sunday morning activities.
Coordinate student involvement in summer camp and/or mission trip.
Coordinate appropriate ministry area fundraisers.
Lead weekly bible study/worship service.
Lead weekly Awana recreation time, including leading students to serve in this capacity.
As a member of the ministry staff, the Pastor of Students will also help with planning and executing all church wide events and programs, as needed.
Consistently complete duties and responsibilities on time.
Maintain a positive relational stance on all fronts.
Remain within budgets associated with this position.
